35 Saltine Crackers
1 Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
5 4 ounce Milk Chocolate Bars (broken into pieces)
1 Cup Butter
1/2 Teaspoon Almond Extract

English Toffee Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Line a 15x10 by 1 in che jelly roll pan with wax paper or parchment paper.
    3. Place crackers on waxed or parchment paper.
    4. In a saucepan boil butter and sugar for 2 to 3 minutes stirring constantly.
    5. Remove from heat and stir in almond extrac.
    6. Pour mixture over crackers and bake for 4 to 6 minutes.
    7. Remove from overn, top with candy bars and spread evenly as chocolate melts.
    8. Cool slightly and transfer onto waxed paper.
    9. allow to cool completely.
    10. Break into pieces.
